Physical description
Hanging scroll of dark blue satin, embroidered with floss silks in long and short, split and stem stitches laid and couched work in shades of beige, purple, blue, green, brown, white, and a little gold thread. The scroll is bordered with light-beige damask, patterned with bats, peaches and endless knots.
The embroidered decoration depicts two scenes from children’s’ festival: at the top, boys fishing whilst others hold a dragon kite. In the bottom scene children are playing musical instruments. It is so-called '100 Boys' theme, sending wished for sons, suitable for a wedding textile.
