Description
Chinese Ming Dynasty green and red glazed Zhadou vase. Potted with baluster body rising to a thick waisted neck with over flaring trumpet shaped rim. Raised on splayed concave foot base. Decoration depicted dragons and phoenix amidst flames in pale-green underglazed over attractive crimson-red glaze ground. Banded with two pale-blue underglazed rings on the collar and foot. Underbase with Jiajing vertical six characters reign mark in underglaze blue within double fine rings, Ming Dynasty.
